Overview
Texas Pride Community Foundation is proud to launch the 2026 Community Impact Grant cycle, designed to support LGBTQ+ organizations and initiatives across Texas that are advancing equity, wellness, and opportunity for our communities.
Through this cycle, Texas Pride will award micro-grants ranging from $3,000 to $10,000 to eligible organizations. These grants are unrestricted general operating funds, intended to strengthen organizational capacity, sustainability, and community impact.
Funding Priorities
Texas Pride Community Foundation is committed to investing in organizations that center and uplift LGBTQ+ communities across Texas, with particular emphasis on:
- Transgender and gender non-conforming communities
- Black, Latinx, and other communities of color
- Rural and geographically underrepresented communities
- Individuals impacted by HIV
- LGBTQ+ youth and elders
- Organizations addressing mental health, housing insecurity, and access to care
We strongly prioritize organizations that are:
- Serving under-resourced and underserved communities
- Led by or deeply accountable to the communities they serve
- Operating with annual budgets under $1 million
Grant Details
- Award Amount: $3,000 – $10,000
- Grant Type: Unrestricted, General Operating Support
- Grant Period: January 1, 2027 – December 31, 2027
Funds may be used for (but are not limited to):
- Staff salaries and stipends
- Program operations
- Organizational infrastructure
- Rent, utilities, and administrative costs
- Capacity-building efforts
What Texas Pride Does NOT Fund
- Applications from individuals.
- National organizations or their local affiliates, except for programs developed at the local level to meet local needs in Texas.
- Initiatives outside the State of Texas.
- Endowment funds.
- Annual campaigns, capital campaigns, donor recognition events, event sponsorships.
- Applications from government agencies.
- Organizations that do not support transformational change and inclusivity of all LGBTQ+ individuals as well as racial equity in Texas.
- More than one application per organization per year.
- Academic research.
- Organizations that do not have a 501(c)3 designation or do not have a Fiscal Sponsor.
Eligibility Criteria
Organizations must meet the following requirements:
- Be a nonprofit organization, fiscally sponsored project, or community-based group serving LGBTQ+ people in Texas
- Demonstrate alignment with TPCF’s mission and funding priorities
- Have a clear track record or plan for community impact
- Operate within the state of Texas
Note: Organizations without 501(c)(3) status are eligible if applying with a fiscal sponsor.
Application Process
Applications will be submitted through Texas Pride’s online grant portal.

- Organizational overview and mission
- Description of programs/services and communities served
- Statement of need and impact
- Explanation of how funds will be used
- Organizational budget (most recent fiscal year)
- Contact information and leadership details
Review Process
Applications will be reviewed by a diverse committee of community members and stakeholders using the following criteria:
- Alignment with Texas Pride funding priorities
- Depth of impact within LGBTQ+ communities
- Commitment to equity and inclusion
- Organizational need and sustainability
- Leadership representation and community accountability
Preference will be given to:
- Smaller, grassroots organizations
- Organizations led by individuals from the communities served
- Groups operating in regions with limited LGBTQ+ resources
Timeline
- RFP Opens: June 1, 2026
- Application Deadline: August 1, 2026
- Review Period: August – October 2026
- Award Notifications: December 2026
- Funding Disbursed: December 2026
Reporting Requirements
Grantees will be required to submit:
- A brief mid-year update
- A final report highlighting outcomes, challenges, and impact
Texas Pride aims to keep reporting requirements streamlined and accessible, particularly for smaller organizations.
